Night runs
This year the autumn daylight saving change coincides with Easter. The program over Easter will be:
2nd April 2010 (Good Friday) - no trains
4th April 2010 (Easter Sunday) - 1pm - 4pm followed by night run starting at 6:30pm
5th April 2010 - 1pm - 4pm
Saturday 25th September 2010 starting from 6:30pm.
The autumn night run is normally the saturday after daylight saving ends, i.e. the following weekend. The spring one is the saturday before daylight saving starts, i.e. the same weekend as the daylight saving change. In other words early dark but not too cold.
General meetings 2nd Tuesday of the month, 7:30pm
Committee meetings 3rd Tuesday of the month, 7:30pm
Working parties 9:00 to 12:00 Wednesday and Saturday mornings. Maintenance and building work undertaken by club members.

Events and Parties

Because of the large number of people who use our club facilities on open days, we need to set some rules for children's birthday parties.
The club is staffed by a limited number of volunteers. This can dictate whether the various train and boat rides are available on a particular day.
Safety is of great importance to us. We expect children at parties to be supervised by adults.
Please book in advance. See Contact page for phone numbers. With a number of outside tables available we can cope with several parties on one day, but would not like you to feel cramped.
Our hours of operation are Sundays, from 1pm to 4pm.
We do not operate on wet days. You are welcome to transfer to another date.
The cost per child is $4.00. They will receive a 6 clip ticket.
Make yourself known at the ticket office, for you to purchase tickets and for us to know your group is present.
Outside tables are available for you to set up your party. Sun umbrellas are available.
Hot water and limited kitchen facilities are available for your use.
We request that you leave the area you use clean and tidy. Please take all paper and food rubbish home with you.
Please do not feed the seagulls. They can become quite agressive around picnic tables and small children.
Like all the parties before you, we hope you have a good time. |
